Data SummaryFrom the self evaluations I have students fill in this semester, they were able to meet the SLO standards for the class.

1. Students were able to describe strategies for DAP in health, safety, and nutrition.

2 Able to design plans for healthy and safe environments.

3. Competent in licensing standards, practices and standards.

4. All this was done in the midterm and final plus a self assement of each students learning.
Analysis SummaryGrades on assignments, class participation, and self assessments were 90 percent and above. Only a small % lacked some skills related to the SLO's.
Next Steps Planned1. Continue to create small group experiences.

2. Implementing some 1 to 1 student "in class' exercises to see if "two heads" of discussion are better than one.

3. Repeating major points in class and having students reflect on course content and major key concepts.

Additional Highlights

For me, being focused on the SLO's help me organize. I am able to have major key points in my lectures and have assignments related to the SLO's so students will "really get to know them".

For the students: more 1 to 1 and small groups can be a positive learning experience. Especially students who lack the skills to "see" the major points of the lecture and from the book. Students learn from one another.
