Data SummaryIn Fall of 2012 the class took a written quiz to test their understanding of Objective-C Interfaces. The quiz contained three questions. Students needed to score a 3/3 to display adequate understanding of the topic.

The class average was 1.3 out of a possible three points. A very low average. Approximately five students achieved a full 3 of 3.

[Note: this is one of the most advanced topics in the course. All the same, the results were disappointing.]
Analysis SummaryStudents have an inadequate understanding of this mechanism. The majority of the students in CS212 should be able to score a 3 out of 3 by the end of a semester.
Next Steps PlannedUpon reviewing the data we added lecture material and hands on programming assignments to increase coverage of the Objective-C Protocols topic.
