Assessment DescriptionUpdated course outlines for HLTH 60 (3 units) and HLTH 62 (2 units) by unifying them into one course HLTH 201 (5 units) to streamline course completion and to reflect a more accurate description around course SLOs.

Hlth 201 course outline was submitted and approved by curriculum committee in Fall, Nov. 2012.

Used department grid to link revised assignments, quizzes, team projects, and performance exam to specific and revised SLOs.

Met with instructor to discuss and review result of data reported. Reviewed with instructor data reported on student understanding of requirements of core competencies for certificate completion via a reflective paper.

Next Steps PlannedNew Health Course 201 will replace health 60 and Health 62, which will not longer be offered.

Coordinator and instructor will continue to meet each semester to assess and revise assignments, rubrics, exams and lectures materials as necessary. Student and employer partner input will continue to be vital and integrated into course work.

We will be revisiting the the team presentation assignment in Fall 2012 to simplify instructions and understanding of key elements of the project.
