Tentative Future Plans

TermSpring 2014
Activities
  • Revision of outcomes and assessment methods (measurements)
  • Implementation of planned changes and reassessment
More DetailsI plan to change:

- the method of assessment to be based on a quantified, practical examination of technical camera or audio recording skills.

I plan to implement more training modules to build skills in the classroom. Due to time constraints, this presents a challenge as our class focuses on creating a "product" of 3 x 30min television shows - the actual intense learning effort. I'm looking forward to it though.

Additional Highlights

It was gratifying to see that the outcomes reflected a drastic improvement over the course of the class.

Initial assessments showed that only 7% of the (14) students were able to satisfy the SLO question at the beginning, whereas 60% of the remaining (10) students gave satisfactory answers at the end of the semester demonstrating their progress.

Because of a lower than expected outcome (60%), changes are already underway to add greater emphasis to the respective learning area.
