Post Assessment of Final Project 18/22 applied the knowledge correctly to the project. (90%)
Analysis SummaryI spend a considerable amount of time, every time I teach this class, going over file management in FCP. Due to the SLO requirements we are expected to report on as of late, this has become a codified experience to which I can pinpoint why and when students don’t get it.

Simply put, given the inordinate number of class sessions I cover this during the semester and the 90% success rate upon completion by the class, I think the lack of “getting” the information by the remaining 10% is entirely due to lack of attention and/or attendance problems. I also found that students who had not taken the BCST 119 Pre-requisite class had a much harder time grasping this skill. Given this, I think it is really important that we make pre-requisite classes mandatory even if this means having smaller class sizes.
Next Steps PlannedDiscuss with colleagues the possibility of making course pre-requisite (BCST 119) mandatory.
