Data SummaryIn Fall 2012 and Spring 2013, 80% of students scored at proficient or higher on the final assessment.

In Fall 2012, Students rated their understanding of 3 SLOs on a scale of 1 to 7, indicating a high level of self-assessment of those SLOs; the averages of all three were above 6.
Analysis SummaryI looked at the lowest score on the self-assessment from the fall and decided to adapt the SLO to match the core concepts currently taught in the course. As it is a new course, SLOs are evolving.

I also broke down student achievement by SLO area and found that their understanding of multi-sensory techniques was not as strong as their understanding in other areas.
Next Steps PlannedI plan to update and resubmit the official course outline in Fall 2013 to change one SLO and appropriate corresponding course activities and evaluation methods. I will also build on and improve the new Community Resources Scavenger Hunt and build on the new and improved lessons on multi-sensory teaching developed this Spring.
