Assessment Description | 1. For SLO "C" below, an assignment was given to students which showed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing utilities which are located in a ceiling space. Information as to the architectural and structural limitations of this space is also provided. The students had to create a composite drawing which integrated this information. 2. For SLO "D" below, essay questions relating to this SLO were embedded in one of the exams. |

Data Summary | 1. For SLO "C", the average assignment grade was 83% (B). The majority of students (65%) completed the assignment with a grade of "B" or higher. 2. For SLO "D", the average score was 60% (D). Only 36% of students received a score of 80% or higher. A majority of students (61%) received a grade of "C" or above in questions related to this SLO. |
Analysis Summary | 1. For SLO "C" a majority of the students should complete the assignment with a grade of "B" or higher. 2. For SLO "D" a majority of students should be able to complete the embedded exam questions with a score of 80% or higher. |
Next Steps Planned | For SLO "D" material regarding this subject matter will be included in a greater number of lectures, throughout the course. Embedded questions will be included in exams both at the beginning and end of the course. Revision will be implemented during the Fall 2013 Semester. |
