Assessment DescriptionStudents were observed for their performance. Students worked in small groups. Students were provided with simulated scenario and had to act according to the latest evidence-based practice as outlined in the theory course using the latest version of a text book. Students were assessed for their abilities to carry out steps of nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Learning OutcomesA. Demonstrate ability to perform accurate, detailed, priority-based physical assessments including consideration of age related changes.

N. Apply knowledge acquired in Nursing 51 to develop an effective, evidence-based care plan for patients in lab and simulation activities

O. Incorporated the nursing process to identify priority assessments and intervention in lab and simulation activities.

Q. Demonstrate effective, assertive communication with members of the health care team in simulation activities.
