Assessment Description	-- 15 question end of semester test that touched on each of the SLOs. Same test was given in both sections.

Data Summary	We found that students did better on basic geology questions and less well on questions relating to resource consumption. Results were fairly consistent between the two instructors.
Analysis Summary	We felt that achievement higher than 75% indicated mastery of the course SLOs.
Next Steps Planned	We decided to focus more on the resource-related issues and to distribute the geology throughout the course and teach it as needed rather than front-loaded.

Learning Outcomes	SLO H -- Qualify, quantify, and analyze the interactions and feedbacks among the lithosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. SLO 1 --Explain how global warming occurs and identify the various evironmental and societal factors and pollutants that contribute to the greenhouse effect

Extra Details	In future semesters, we are planning to try to imbed this type of semester in work that is done throughout the semester rather than trying to assess at the end.

More Details	The course is being re-designed to incorporate the changes discussed earlier and there will be projects within each section of the course to guide students in the synthesis of the outcome material.
