| Assessment Description | I assess my students through a semester-long journal they complete which includes reading and visual media reflections, and examples. reflections, questions and definitions of concepts covered in classroom presentations and readings. I assess them through written observations of children including an analysis of sensory modality functioning and stages and patterns of movement. I also assess them through their paritipation in small and all-class discussions. The final assessment is their presentation of a sensory motor lesson plan carried out with young children, including an evaluation and analysis. |

| Data Summary | The majority of students were able to define sensory integration. The majority of students designed and carried out developmentally appropriate sensory motor lesson plans. |
| Analysis Summary | A significant majority of students should be able to define sensory integration, linking sensory processing to brain organization and the adaptive response. Grades higher than 80% on the final workshop indicate outcome achievement. |
| Next Steps Planned | I rewrote my course outline including some modification of my student learning outcomes. The outline will go to the curriculum committe next fall and should go into effect in January 2014. |
