Improvement Details

DetailsNew activities included more 1-minute timed practices for speed/accuracy development. Goal to complete 1-minute paragraphs without error. (Paragraphs are increased by 5-word increments).

Individualization was feasible in Spring 2014 due to a small class size and activities were modified based on individual's keyboarding deficiencies.

Assessment Methods

MethodsDirect observation - proper finger and hand placement, proper posture

1- and 3-minute speed/accuracy tests. Students expected to key at a rate of 7-10 words per minute (above entry speed) with 90% accuracy.
