| Details | 1. Developed new syllabus, course schedule and assignment list based on materials used. 2. Tracked each student's progress daily. 3. Recorded 3-minute and 5-minute timed tests. |

Assessment Methods
| Methods | 1. Graded document production assignments each week (i.e. MS-Word concepts, business letters, envelopes, labels, proofreader's marks, memos, tables, reports, etc.) 2. Administered Outcomes Assessment Test after 50% of assignments completed. This test included a 3-minute timed writing and formatting of business letter, academic report, and ruled table. 3. Periodically tested students on keyboarding timed writings for speed and accuracy improvement. Tracked results of 3-minute and 5-minute timed writings for at least 90% accuracy. 4. Administered final Outcomes Assessment Test after all document production assignments completed. The test consisted of a 5-minute timed writing and formatting of business letter, E-mail message, and business report. |

| Data Summary | Based on the work saved in their portfolios, a majority of students produced all required business documents with grades of B or higher. 95% of students assessed (38 out of 40) passed the course by the end of Fall 2013. |

| Highlights | Students who take Document Formatting & Production are most often in a business certificate program. Since the course is required for many of those certificates, the students are quite motivated to satisfactorily complete the course. I am pleased with the results because most of the course SLOs were successfully met within the semester. |
