Improvement Details
| Details | 1. Prepared new syllabus including course schedule with weekly assignments in order to meet course objectives. 2. Recommended some popular computer keyboarding websites to supplement in-class lessons. Students who tried those websites at home found that the exercises reinforced keyboarding drills covered in class. |
|---|
Assessment Methods
| Methods | 1. Observed individual keyboarding technique such as: keeping eyes on the copy (focusing on book and not on computer screen), posture, hand/finger position, proper reaches to individual keys, use of spacing and shift keys, using the number and symbol keys. Also observed individual use of numeric keypad for those needing ten-key practice. 2. Checked to see that Lessons 1-20 were completed (basic requirement). 3. Assessed student progress through 1-min, 3-min, and 5-min timed keyboarding tests with at least 90% accuracy. |
