Assessment Methods

MethodsAnalysis of exam, quiz or homework linked to specific SLO's

Assessments are based on:

1. Establish proper technique for keyboarding.

2. Key drills by touch.

3. Improve speed by (5) words per minute.

4. Key alphabetic, punctuation, numeric and symbolic keys by touch.

5. Assignments are based on a keyboarding program and additional drills for students to achieve their goals.

6. Instructions is individualized.

7. Students computer assignments are completed at their own pace.

8. Direct and individual observation of student performance is related to SLO.

9. Testing - timed writings - 1, 2, 3 and 5 minute timed writings are conducted based on the students level of performance.
