Assessment Data Discussion and Analysis
Term | Fall 2013, Summer 2013 |
---|---|
How and With Whom | Reviewed and discussed my analysis of assessment data with faculty teaching the same course within our department by telephone and email to obtain their feedback on student outcome assessments. |
Number Assessed | 11 |
Data Summary | 64% of students (7 out of 11) completed all project assignments with full attendance, demonstrating their ability to understand and record payroll transactions into QuickBooks Pro 2012 accounting software, receiving a total of 45 points and a letter grade of A. The majority of students should be albe to enter simple payroll transactions into payroll accounts and create employee records using QuickBooks Pro 2012. Grades received on project assignment of 80% indicates student learning outcomes were achieved. |
Planned Improvements | The assessment revealed the need to: 1. Create pre and post surveys to assess student payroll accounting knowledge; 2. Create student satisfaction survey administered at the end of the course session. |
