Overview
In the Outline Project Main Menu there is a box labeled “Other Actions”.  This box contains links you can use to log out of the system and to change your preferences.
 
When you first sign up for the Outline Project, you’re asked to enter your first and last name, a login ID and password, your email address, and the name of your department chair and dean.  You can use the change my preferences link to change any of these values, with the exception of your login ID.
 
How is this information used?
The Outline Project uses the various names as default values when you’re creating a new outline.  The only time your email address is used is if you click on the “forgotten password” link.
