Assessment DescriptionMid-semester and end-of-semester supervisor performance reviews will be used to assess knowledge gained through the initial orientation and trainings and weekly staff meetings.

Students will complete pre and post tests regarding their knowledge of meeting facilitation, and also complete exit evaluations/reflections.

"Focus group interviews with student club organizers post-event to establish what skills were retained through the orientation and trainings.

Pretest knowledge of leadership skills and conflict resolution. Post assessment and exit evaluation for all Council members upon completion of the training will determine the level of knowledge and skills gained in effective coordination of a student government organization.

Student clubs will submit written reports/evaluations after campus wide events or community service activities to assess what skills they have retained from this requirement and the impact they make on the campus community.
OutcomesAs a result of their participation in the departmental student employment program, students will identify and exhibit characteristics associated with effective employees (i.e. timeliness, accurate task completion, appropriate behavior, confidentiality, etc.), effectively articulate and interpret departmental policies and procedures, and demonstrate respect and courtesy to students, faculty, staff, and community members who interact with the office.

As a result of their involvement in Associated Students Council(s), students will develop the ability to effectively plan, organize, and facilitate meetings following parlimentary procedure, Robert's Rules of Order, and the Brown Act.

As a result of their involvement in the Inter-Club Council, students will develop the ability to plan, organize, and execute successful and diverse programming and campus wide events.

As a result of their participation in the Associated Students Council(s), students will learn fundamental elements of leadership and be able to demonstrate an understanding of self-awareness, group dynamics and conflict resolution, fiscal management, event planning, and communication skills and techniques.

As a result of their participation in student clubs, students will enhance their awareness and commitment towards effective citizenship, service, and social responsibility via community service projects and campus wide events.

Data SummarySLO 2 - Majority of student employees found the review process helpful in building their skill sets as student employees and we learned we valuable information in improving student employee training.

SLO3- All 10 Associated student councils effectively displayed their ability to plan, organize, and facilitate meetings.

SLO4 - Student Clubs demonstrated their ability to hold successful campus wide events, as expressed in focus groups and at the weekly ICC meetings.

SLO 5 - Students offered clear feedback on training and support they need to be more successful in their roles as student leaders.

SLO6 - All clubs demonstrated their commitment to civic engagement and service by completing service hours.
