Ocean Campus Tours
Stage 5

Assessment Activities

Assessment Methods
  • Quizzes/exams/content-related surveys
  • Direct observation
Assessment DescriptionOutside community groups and K-12 schools can call the outreach office to schedule Ocean Campus Tours through a student ambassador. Tours are offered from February through April during the spring semester. Each participant is asked to complete a campus tour survey at the end of the tour that measures their knowledge in several college-related areas such as the five steps in the enrollment/matriculation process and the affordability of the different California higher education systems. Due to the vacancy in the Associate Dean of Outreach position and the shrinking number of student ambassadors, fewer tours were given during the spring 2013 semester.
OutcomesProspective students will demonstrate knowledge of how to apply to CCSF, an understanding that community college is the most affordable option among the different college systems, the types of degrees offered, and an increased understanding of the programs and services offered at CCSF.
Number of StaffFour student ambassadors gave tours; one compiled the data under the supervision of staff.
