Satisfaction surveys

Assessment DescriptionAn electronic survey (in English and Spanish) was developed based on the survey results from FALL 2012. In addition, faculty and student workers help with the distribution of the survey by developing a schedule for various classes to visit the computer labs in order to complete the survey. The survey consists on nine questions: seven yes/no questions, one multiple choice and one short answer. Moreover, survey was disseminated via email to all Mission Center students, flyers were passed out around the center, in addition to a link display on computers located in Admission and Enrollment office. The survey was distributed from April 9, 2013 to April 26, 2013.
Outcomes1. The Mission Center welcomes students with a clean, comfortable, friendly and secure environment in order to support student learning and success.

2. The Mission Center offers programs and services to students supporting their educational goals.

3. The Mission Center has a One Stop Office that provides students with reliable and factual information in a timely manner.

*554 students (85%) were taking Non-Credit classes. 61 (9.4%) students were taking Credit classes. 33 (5.1%) students were taking both non-credit and credit classes

*79.6% (516 students) were taking classes only at Mission Center. The other 20.4% (132 students) were taking classes at more than one campus.

*542 (83.6%) students confirm that Mission Center provides them information about activities and services, while 106 (16.4%) students denied that Mission Center keep them informed about activities and services.

*93.1% (603) students were satisfied with the services provided by the Mission Center. 6.9% (45) students were unsatisfied with the services provided by the Mission Center.

*478 (73.8%) students feel comfortable and accepted when visiting the One Stop Office in room 110 at Mission Center. While 54 (8.3%) students did not feel comfortable and accepted when visiting the One Stop Office in room 110 at Mission Center. 116 (17.9%) students have not been to the One Stop Office.

*65.6% (425) students denied that One Stop Office in room 110 needs improvements, while 34.4% (223) students affirm that the One Stop Office in room 110 needs improvements. These students also gave feedback regarding improvements needed. Some examples of improvements areas are the following: Get better friendly and polite attention, bilingual customer service, not enough information given to students, inpatient front desk person, and slow process to meet with a counselor, only one person kind in Admissions and enrollment office, more staff needed.

*The 34.1% (221) students have seen a counselor at the Mission Center. The other 65.95% have not seen a counselor at Mission Center.

*351 (54.2%) students have an Educational plan. 262 (40.4%) students have not an Educational plan. In addition 35 (5.4%) students are interested in get more information about Educational plan by giving their personal information.

*332 students left comments about Mission Center. The comments were placed under the following categories: CCSF provides goods services, excellent quality of instructors, staff being polite and respectful, not enough information given to the students, slow process and bad service hours for counselors, improve security services, inpatient front desk, bilingual customer service, improve maintenance, more staff needed, library extended hours and services, street parking difficulties.
Data AnalysisAccording to the data, the Mission center have achieved the first AUO (The Mission Center welcomes students with a clean, comfortable, friendly and secure environment in order to support student learning and success.) However, the Mission Center still has room for improvement.

According to the data, the Mission Center has not met the second AUO (The Mission Center offers programs and services to students supporting their educational goals). A majority of our students should have seen a counselor in addition to having an education plan on file.

The Mission Center has met AUO (The Mission Center has a One Stop Office that provides students with reliable and factual information in a timely manner.) However, there is still room for improvement.
Next Steps Planned

The Mission Center will implement a variety of intense trainings during the summer 2013, in addition to providing the counselors a list of students who have indicated an interested in an educational plan.

Assessment DetailsThe Mission Center will reassess AOU 1 and 3 by redistributing the nine question survey. The Mission Center would like to see 20% improvement.
