Assessment DescriptionPre and post questionnaire is distributed to students to assess knowledge of the purpose of a student educational plan and having an educational goal.
OutcomesFindings based on Fall 2012 data suggests that continuing students who have been at EOPS for at least 1 semester understand the purpose and importance.

Data SummaryEOPS faculty to modify their counseling session based on these results. Director and Counselors will make modifications to questionnaire in June 2013.
Data AnalysisEOPS and other faculty determined that improvement of services include improving the Orientation by including a section in presentation that covers the purpose of the educational plan and the importance of establishing an educational goal.

EOPS plans to modify student counseling session based on the level of ESL/English, number of semesters at CCSF and EOPS. Counselors will make the intentional effort to ensure each student has a clear understanding of the purpose of the educational plan and identifying an educational goal.

Details

The pre and post questionnaire will be created to include more demographic information such as level of ESL or English they are registered in at the time of the survey, number of semesters at CCSF, and their assessment of knowledge on how to remain eligible.

Learning OutcomesEOPS plans to improve the orientation to include a section that covers the program requirements to remain eligible such as completing 3 counseling contacts, enrolling in at least 9 units each semester, following an educational plan.

Assessment DetailsEOPS plans to modify student mutual responsibility contract (MRC) to clarify when 1st, 2nd and 3rd contact is to be completed. Counselors will also review the after the orientation's counseling appointment which confirms their acceptance in EOPS. EOPS also included a guide for completing 3 counseling contacts on students' WEB4 account. The orientation will be modified to include a section on their WEB4 EOPS account so that students may track the # of contacts they have completed.
