  • Faculty and staff within the same department
Data Sharing Methods
  • Face-to-face meetings
  • SLO Binder in Nursing Dept.
Data SummaryReviewed NCLEX RN pass rates for Fall 2012 graduating class first time test takers. To date pass rate for first time test takers data not available for every student.

Total Attrition for Spring 2013 graduating class (cohort that entered Fall 2011) = 19.5%.

Perkins Core 3 Summary Persistence statistics for CCSF Registered Nursing = 74.1%

Perkins Core 4 Summary Employment statistics for CCSF Registered Nursing is 84.29%
Data AnalysisIn addition to meeting the passing criteria for all courses in the program, a strong indicator of program outcome achievement in the Registered Nursing Program includes; student completion rates, ability for first time test takers to pass the NCLEX RN exam and job placement:

Statistics demonstrate that CCSF new grads are increasingly able to secure job placement in nursing. (Up from 76.39% in 2012-13 report).

NCLEX-RN pass rate for Fall 2012 graduates to date demonstrates a decline from last report, despite readiness assessment and informational sessions. However, not all student scores are available, so we anticipate this may change.

Student attrition remains high at 19.5% for the Spring 2013 graduates (Fall 2011 cohort); however this is steadily decreasing with our student success efforts (remediation, tutorial and mentoring support) and data for future graduating cohorts already demonstrate a significant decrease.
Next Steps Planned

Will continue to offer support for NCLEX-RN preparation to all graduating students. Will continue to provide remediation, tutorial and mentoring support for all students in the program to promote success and retention. Have started planning for interdisciplinary simulation activities with DMI Department in Fall 2013 to promote better outcomes. Will monitor outcomes and revise as necessary
