Assessment DescriptionThis was the first full year for the LGBT Studies Major and the department focused on all of the Program Learning Outcomes. Part of the process was to develop an articulation agreement between our Program Learning Outcomes alongside Napa Valley College's LGBT Certificate Program as well as San Diego State's LGBT B.A. degree. We are looking at all three programs in terms of intersecting identities within historic and political contexts.

Changes

Details

We were able to collaborate with Napa Valley College on a work-focused LGBT Studies course that incorporates "real world" learning with work and service-learning. This helps focus LGBT Studies not only in an academic context, but also within the context of hands-on applications - particularly in various health fields where cultural competency is needed.
