Assessment DescriptionIn addition to the about, 18 employer partner agencies completed and submitted evaluations on student performance addressing core competencies required for certificate program and as part of the program PLOs. Focus groups were also conducted with more than 14 different public health and social service agencies to assess how students were implementing the PLOs in the workforce.

Faculty participated in a retreat to discuss, review and develop rubrics to better align with program PLOs.

Finally, health 60 and 62 were unified into Health 201 and health 61 and 63 were unified into health 202, with new course outlines submitted and approved by curriculum committee in Fall 2012 and Spring 2012.

Changes were also submitted and approved by curriculum committee to change the required course list by adding Health 116 and eliminating health 112

Data SummaryEmployer evaluation of student: 100% received 95% or higher on their evaluations.

All PLOs received a score within the range of 90%.

Employers provided input on core competencies aligned to PLOs and level of preparedness for employment in the field.

Based on employer feedback, performance based examination has been revised to align with new SLOs
Data AnalysisData indicates that students are well prepared and competent with the minimum requirements and skills required to perform the job at a proficient level.

Unification of course has made it easier for students to understand requirements for completion of certificate program and has facilitated their enrollment into the program

Reassess PLOs using new rubrics, revised assignments and course materials. Assess revised Performance based exam based on linked PLOs. Continue to meet and seek input data from employer partners
