| Data Summary | The quality of typographic work in some portfolios was poor. Problems with color and image quality were noted in some portfolios. Portfolios did not reflect the range of projects representative of contemporary design practice (not enough interactive work). |

| Next Steps Planned | The FT faculty met to review and discuss the portfolio assessment in June, 2013. To address what was observed, we agreed to include more interactive projects in updated course outlines, and adjust course prerequisites as needed. We also discussed the need for changes in the process/deliverables and guidelines for content for portfolio projects. At our Fall 13 Flex Day we introduced a more structured framework for project-based work. We plan to revise and finalize these guidelines for implementation beginning Spring 2014. |
