Certificate of Competency iPhone App Programming
Stage 5

Assessment Activities

Assessment Methods
  • Assignments based on rubrics (such as essays, projects, and performances)
  • Capstone projects or final summative assignments
Assessment DescriptionStudents completed an assignment that required them to use an Objective C Protocol. They submit the completed application via insight. Successful completion of the application is a good demonstration of the students comfort with the protocol mechanism.

Data Analysis

Data Shared With

Faculty and staff within the same program (at CCSF)

Data Sharing Methods

Face-to-face meetings

Data SummaryOver 80% of students submitted completed iPhone applications that required the use of Objective C protocols.
Data AnalysisOf the submitted applications, 100% were in working order. A working application demonstrates outcome achievement.
Next Steps Planned

We consider this SLO to be in good order. We will examine data to determine another SLO that can be improved.
