Certificate of Competency iPhone App Programming
Stage 5
Assessment Activities
Assessment Methods |
|
---|---|
Assessment Description | Students completed an assignment that required them to use an Objective C Protocol. They submit the completed application via insight. Successful completion of the application is a good demonstration of the students comfort with the protocol mechanism. |
Learning Outcomes | A. Develop Objective C classes and protocols |
Number of Courses | 1 |
Number of Students | 22 |
Data Analysis
Data Shared With | Faculty and staff within the same program (at CCSF) |
---|---|
Data Sharing Methods | Face-to-face meetings |
Data Summary | Over 80% of students submitted completed iPhone applications that required the use of Objective C protocols. |
Data Analysis | Of the submitted applications, 100% were in working order. A working application demonstrates outcome achievement. |
Next Steps Planned | We consider this SLO to be in good order. We will examine data to determine another SLO that can be improved. |
Learning Outcomes | No options chosen |
Tentative Future Assessment Plans
Assessment Term | Fall 2013 |
---|---|
Assessment Activities | Assessment (measurement) of outcomes |
Assessment Details | We a considering an in class quiz to determine how well students are doing on SlO F: Describe the Model View Controller (MVC) lifecycle. The quiz would ask students short answer questions to measure their comfort with the concepts. |
