Major Environmental Studies and Science
Stage 2

Tentative Future Assessment Plans

Assessment TermSpring 2014
Assessment Activities

Revision of the major requirements

Assessment DetailsSince the creation of the major in 2009, only three students have graduated with the Environmental Studies and Science AA. This low level of interest/completion is likely due to the major’s course requirements not being appropriately interdisciplinary. Consequently, we are working with colleagues in Earth Science to rewrite and revise the major to better reflect lower division requirements for both Environmental Science and Environmental Studies degrees at all Bay Area four-year institutions.
