Assessment DescriptionStudents enrolled in HIT 77B are required to submit weekly reports of activities at their professional practice sites. Students complete a management project, hot topics presentation, perform inpatient, outpatient, and ED coding exercises. Students are required 60 hours of directed practicum performing clerical and technical health information skills at various care sites. At the end of the course, students are required to submit a student portfolio that contains documentation of professional practice projects and tasks completed at their assigned facility.
