Assessment DescriptionStudent enrolled in HIT 77A complete special projects designed to prepare the student for the professional practice site, such as filing projects and release of information.

Students are placed in various actue care facilities practicing the skills they learned in their classes. The site manager completes an evaluation after the required 60 hours of professsional practice. The student completes a self evaluation and submits weekly reports outlining the skills that have been practiced. The students completes a final project based on the professional practice site.

The students also completes practice exams in preparation for the Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) examination.
