Additional Highlights

Students indicated that site visits from the instructor were insightful and valuable. One student wrote: "I have never had a professor who really got my teaching practice and I will forever be grateful for this experience! Words really cannot express this slump you helped pull me out of. You opened my eyes to see this profession in a new and exiting way!"

Power Point presentations on Play with embedded videos enabled students to connect theory and practice and reach a deeper understanding of how young children learn.

Professors valued site visits and observations of the diversity of childcare offered throughout the city. This provided for ideas of incorporating strategies of how to better prepare students for the realities of their teaching practice.
