Assessment DescriptionStudents produced a final portfolio containing the following rubrics:

Turn In:

1. TOTAL 8x10s or larger in a presentation format (matted and/or overmatted) and your .psd files to the server in a folder with your name and assignment clearly labelled (gentry_finalproject). Please no "floating files" organize them into folders. If you would like to propose alternative image presentation ideas they must be approved in advance.

2. Provide a written artist statement describing the work and your process. Participate in the class critique.

3. Turn in images in a suitable box or portfolio/folder so that they are protected. Plan to pick them up during finals week.

I'll show the work of many artists relevant to this project in class. Don't miss these lectures

4. Shared work in progress more than one time with Instructor for feedback (50pts)



5. Presentation in a window mat, proper mounting and hinging in a gallery style format and proper materials (50pts)

Data SummaryThe majority of students showed marked improvement on their final projects including the ability to properly output a digital negative and produce darkroom images. Seven students did "excellent work". Five students did "good work" and two students did "average work" in the SLO area M.

Next Steps PlannedAs enrollment is less than desirable it is uncertain if this class will be offered again in the Spring. Also, it is at an advanced level with per-requisites currently. In order to boost enrollment I may need to modify the course outline for more basic photographic skills.
