Data Analysis

Data Sharing Methods |
|
Data Summary | • 85% of the students were able to design and maintain a database suing sophisticated table structure and properties • 77% of the students were able to properly design a report using formulas for subtotals and totals. • 86% of students were able to create a sophisticated form/subform using more than 1 table, as well as implement advanced form tools • 77% of the students were able to create a complex macro. |
Analysis Summary | The majority of students were able to achieve all 4 outcomes by completing weekly projects designed to match the SLOs. The SLOs were assessed more than once, as midterm and final projects were cumulative, and tested all past material. Interestingly, the student anonymous survey indicated that although the students performed remarkably well on difficult tasks, their confidence in their proficiency was lower than expected. |
Next Steps Planned | Adding additional projects that test the tasks with which students seemed less comfortable. |
