Assessment DescriptionAssessment Tool Used: Observation Assignment: Students had to observe a child between the ages of 4 to 3 years and keep running and anecdotal record of the child’s behavior for a minimum of 45 minutes of an engaged activity. From that observations students had to complete a series of related questions including:

• How does the observation process support the development of curriculum for infants and toddlers?

• Based on what you have observed what would be some suggested activities/materials/environmental plan you would develop for the observed child?

• In terms of providing “responsive care giving” what would be some suggestion you would give to the teacher responsible for this child’s regular care?

• Create a chart that details your observation notes broken into the four developmental domains
