Assessment DescriptionWe analyzed the Musculoskeletal System ( MS) final exam to determine if 80% of the students correctly answered at least 75% of those questions related to the components of the of the MS system and nursing management pertaining to MS disorders.
Learning OutcomesDescribe the components of the musculoskeletal system ( MS) and summarize the common diagnostic tests, medical and surgical treatments and the nursing care needs for the client with disorders of musculoskeletal system.

Data Summary95 % of the VOCN 41B students (41) received a score of greater than 75% grade for MS final exam while 100% of the class received homework score greater than 75%.
Analysis SummaryWe analyzed the homework related to MS and N41B final exam and we found that 80% of the students passed the exam with a score of 75% and above.
Next Steps PlannedWe are planning to implement Prep-U which is a program designed to increase the mastery of the N41 B course content and to maintain and improve NCLEX -PN passing rate.

Changes

DetailsWe met with the team and coordinated with the curruculum committee. We increased the use of class discussion and in class group work by integrating class actvities related to MS topic. We created new activities and assignments by assigning group presentation and homework according to rubrics.
