Data Summary100% of the VOCN 41 students ( 37) received a score of greater than 75% grade for both final exam and homeworks.
Analysis Summary100% of the VOCN 41A students participated in the homework assessment. The data showed that the students were able to demonstrate understanding of the nursing process, nursing ethics and principles of communication and documentation. Since the students were able to achieve a score higher than the target goal of 80%, it indicates the successful achievement of our SLO goals.
Next Steps PlannedWithin this Fall 2013 semester, we will place added emphasis in the student homework related to nursing legal issues and its application, nursing process and communication. Develop outside class opportunities by giving them group projects.

Changes

DetailsWe updated course SLO by scheduled team meetings coordinated with curriculum committee. We increased use of class discussion and added in-class and outside group activities. We improved grading criteria by crediting homeworks to their quiz scores.
