GRPH 37 - Advanced Graphic Design - Stage 2 - Arthur Curtis

Assessment

Assessment Methods

Assignments based on rubrics (such as essays, projects, and performances)

Assessment DescriptionStudents were assessed based on three major graphic design projects that were graded according to defined rubrics. Each project emphasized design process and a substantial portion of the grade was based on student documentation of their design journey.
Learning Outcomes1) Research a topic that has a number of data points and design an infographic that presents that information in an easy-to-understand format.

2) Research, develop, and write a personal manifesto that communicates a philosophy of graphic design. Present the manifesto as a poster that reflects the content.

3) Identify an existing brand identity that is outdated or otherwise not meeting the organization's needs. Develop a comprehensive new visual identity that addresses these needs.
