Assessment DescriptionStudents were assigned to research and present an oral history research paper as their midterm project. This project requires students to conduct an interview with an Asian American woman (over the age of 40) and to create a narrative and analytical essay based on class themes. The goal of the project is to tell a cohesive, engaging narrative about the selected interviewee and also to contextualize the interviewee’s experiences with class readings and discussions.
Learning OutcomesOutcome # 1. to describe the events, forces and movements which have affected the experience of Asian women in America.

Outcome #4. to identify issues and write essays about Asian American lives, which have been affected by immigration, work, identity and community issues, using methodology and of the behavioral sciences and the humanities
