Assessment Description | We conducted a pre- and post- survey. There was one section with 40 students. The survey included both knowledge and attitudinal elements, based on course MLOs. The surveys were administered at the start of the semester and again in the last week. Results of exam, quiz, and homework items linked to course MLOs were discussed at our 5/29/13 Program/Discipline/Course SLO meeting. The spring data will be compared to assess the degree of knowledge and attitudinal change. |

Analysis Summary | Insufficient sample size due to only having one section's data. Moderate results reflect overall program results. |
Next Steps Planned | Improve assessment tool. Combine data across semesters to produce a stronger data set. This will be worked on in the Fall of 2013. |

More Details | At our Course SLO meeting on May 29, 2013, we revised the assessment tool to reflect a more substantive question, specifically on the concept of power. We will administer the revised assessment tool in the Fall of 2013 and discuss and analyze it in the Spring of 2014. |
