Data Summary | Majority of the students met the SLOs. Detailed analysis of each exam question or assignment are saved by the instructor. |
Analysis Summary | A significant majority of students answered exam and quiz questions correctly. |
Next Steps Planned | One common problem observed from the assessments is inadequate discussions of the lab results. I will revisit the analysis questions for each lab exercise. Student surveys revealed that some students did not understand the significance of the Dot blot exercise and wished for more practice with Bradford assay. I will add an additional Bradford assay lab and rearrange the shedule of the lab exercises to do the Dot blot together with a Western blot and have the students compare the two methods. These changes will be implemented by the end of Spring 2014. |
Learning Outcomes | 1. Relate theoretical principles to laboratory techniques used in Western blotting. 2. Keep proper records of experimental procedures, observations and data analysis. |

Details | Higher level questions for thefinal exam and quizes. New take home assignments. |
