Assessment Description | Exams and written assignments were modified to address specific course SLO's. SLO's were discussed in class with students. Students were also surveyed and encouraged to provide self-assessments. Rubrics were established to assess student achievement on exams and assignments. |

Data Summary | Summary assessment (Grades, exams, student self evaluations, etc):
Approximately 35% of students were assessed as "accomplished", 40% as "developing", and 25% as "beginning". Student self-evaluations tended to be more positive than the results compiled from course assignments. |

Analysis Summary | Student performance improved from previous semester although there is room for improvement. Increased emphasis was placed on student proficiency with terminology, vocabulary, and film technique through the use of study guides and course assignments. |

Increased emphasis was placed on assessing students' command of vocabulary, terminology, and film techniques. Modest improvement was noted.
