Midterm 2, question #31: Without informing them, a researcher assigns participants to either an experimental or placebo group. The researcher's assistants who test the participants do not know who belongs in which group. The experiment has used a A) single blind technique. B) double blind technique. C) strong experimental manipulation. D) behavioral measure. Final Exam, short answer question #3: Distinguish between a Type I and Type II errors. Draw a chart to illustrate this relationship, noting correct decisions and errors. SLO B: Identify the basic types of scientific design, and compare the advantages and limitations.
