Data Summary | A rubric was established to assess SLO's: Beginning: 5 Developing: 3 Accomplished: 6 Summary assessments were based on total scores from midterm and final exams, film reviews and a critical paper assignment. |
Analysis Summary | Changes were made to this course in response to previous poor student performance. Assignments were clarified and targeted towards specific SLO's and greater emphasis was placed on vocabulary and recognizing film techniques. The response can only be described as moderately successful. The Telecourse section of CINE 18 has been problematic in terms of student success and retention. |
Next Steps Planned | It is my understanding that the Telecourse section of CINE 18 will not be offered in the future, while the online section will continue. |
