Assessment DescriptionThrough both exams and projects students will have to discuss and explain the General Conditions of a construction project and their application to the administration of a construction project. Students will also have to demonstrate an understanding of the bidding and construction phases of a project, describing the contractual obligations of each party.

Data Summary1. Embedded questions related to SLO "B" were included in exams, as well as a related research paper. 90% of students received a grade of "A" or above in the related research paper and exam questions.

2. Students obtained first hand information and knowledge of bidding procedures of a contract through interviews of professionals conducted during office or job-site visits, as well as through lectures. The students then prepared research papers based on these visits and presented their findings to the class. 91% of the students received a grade of "A" on this assignment.
Analysis Summary1. For SLO "B" 80% of students should receive a grade of "B" or above in exam questions and research paper related to this SLO.

2. For SLO "D" 80% of students should receive a grade of "B" or above in a research paper related to this SLO.

More DetailsA new set of SLO's will be designated for review during Spring 2014. Methods of assessment will be established and results reviewed. Based on assessment results appropriate revisions to the course will be determined for implementation the next time the course will be taught.
