Assessment DescriptionAssessments included individual and group critiques, analysis of art genres, of skills in tool and material use, as well as demonstration of individual approach and personal expression. Exit surveys were also used to capture related information.
Learning OutcomesThe above assessments were in reference to the various styles of classical and contemporary Chinese painting via a variety of subject matter such as lotus flower, bamboo, fish, tiger and dragon.

Data SummaryMore than 95% of students were able to correctly answer questions related to major learning outcomes as well as successfully complete art assignments and participate in class critiques.
Analysis SummaryCumulative individual student grades based on 10 semester assignments that are higher than 90% indicate that outcomes have been achieved.
