More Details | Will assess outcome F. Identify and describe radio daypart affects on listening audience for music and news consumption, i.e., Arbitron ratings, Radio and Records, etc. Students will understand the hour-by-hour operation requirements for contemporary radio stations. Formats, format delivery, announcing techniques, contest construction, promotion structure, and team coordination are examined and executed. Assessment Questions: (1) What are the various formats? (2) Why are formats important? (3) How are ratings collected and evaluated? (4) How is the”right” music selected for play? (5) How has consolidation affected the industry? |
