Assessment DescriptionMeans: Students will identify and perform elementary pointe technique and vocabulary at the barre with correct body alignment, hip to toe placement, and correct balance points.

Criteria: On a scale of 1-2-3 (l being the lowest and 3 being the highest) 75% of the students will average a 2 or better.

Means: Students will wear and prepare the point shoes correctly according to strength and flexibility of feet as well as size and shape of the foot.

Criteria: Through instructor observation 80% of the students will fit, wear, and prepare their shoes correctly.
