Assessment DescriptionThis class is taught in the Fall semester only and is the first theory class

for this two semester program. Faculty provided a review of the material taught in this class because it is the foundation class for PHTC 103, which was offered in Spring 2013. Students responded to questions dealing with scope of practice, law, ethics, pharmacy equipment, and medical calculations. Tests results were reviewed by all faculty in the program and individual student advising was conducted.

Data Summary87% of students responded correctly to 20 of 24 questions in scheduled tests. The majority of students understood the scope of practive of pharmacy technician employed in a community based pharmacy.
