Assessment DescriptionHave all students fill out each of the technical surveys thru out the semester, then base on the results, lecture and classroom discussion were modified to focus on the poor result areas.
Learning OutcomesIn one of the survey, students were having trouble applying color codes interpretation to resistors, as a result, a more detailed review in this area, and more practice exercise and homework were handed out. The subsequence test and quiz showed improvement in this area.

Data Summary50% of the students answered at least 1 out of 10 resistor color code questions incorrectly.
Analysis SummaryGreater than 90% of the students should be able to answer the resistor color codes question correctly.
Next Steps PlannedThere will be more class room discussion in applying the color code interpretation process, more practice homework, and increase the frequency of lab experiment in this topic area starting the Fall 2013 semester.
Learning OutcomesWhen the resistor color code survey achieve greater than 90% success rate.

DetailsI replaced several lab experimental circuits with newer one to create wider coverage of knowledge of electronic circuits.
Learning OutcomesMost students were able to put together circuits in a shorter period of time with greater accuracy towards the end of the semester.
