Data Summary75+% passed the day section of this course; the passage rate for the evening class was lower. The evening students are usually employed full-time and attend class after their regular work assignment and it is noticed that this contributes to the lower pass rate because of attendance issues. All faculty are involved in problem-solving this issue.
Analysis SummaryStudents must correctly pass the skills competencies for patient assessment and didactic material required by national registry for EMTs. 100% of students passing this course also pass the NREMT test. The fact that all students who successfully complete the course must have a minimum of 75% on all written exams and these students also pass national registry indicates that achievement is met.
Next Steps PlannedDevelop on-line support for students who have learning difficulties and those students who have limited time to study.
