Assessment Description	Each instructor selected individualized assessment methods, exams, quizzes, homework, etc. to evaluate specific learning outcomes. Data was collected in Fall, 2013 and Spring, 2013, however the Psyc 1 Coordinators became aware of the need to develop a standardized method to integrate the data from the various instructors.

Data Summary	Because instructors developed individualized assessment methods we encountered difficulties integrating the data into a comprehensive report. Therefore Spring, 2013 and Fall, 2013 has focused continued evaluations of SLO outcomes and developing a method of data analysis which will balance the need to have assessment methods which are sensitive to individual styles of teaching and allow for synthesis of the collective data to gain a comprehensive picture of the SLO outcomes.
Analysis Summary	Analysis of data is on hold, pending development of methods for analysis.
Next Steps Planned	In Fall, 2013 a more systematic method to collect and analyze data will be implemented.

Changes

Details	Fall 2012 instructors were allowed to do individual assessments. The deparment found it was too difficult to compile a summary encompassing all Psyc 1 sections. As a result of this difficulty, the Spring 2013 assessment will still allow instructors to customize their method of measurement (e.g. term project, multiple choice exam, etc.), but the reporting of results will be standardized.
