OLAD 7504 - Introduction to Computers II - Stage 3 - Lee Ellen Shoemaker

Assessment Methods	Direct observation of performances, practical exams, group work
Assessment Description	Observed students editing document layout, text, punctuation, grammar and spelling in a sample letter. Observed and reviewed a five-sentence paragraph written by students on the student's computer screen. In a follow-up to each lesson, assessed the need to review the previous lesson at the beginning of each class.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of the semester, students will be able to: Demonstrate the ability to create documents and navigate Microsoft Word.

Data Summary	50% of students were able to master the skill of creating documents and navigating Word.
Analysis Summary	Used a check-list of skills whereby I catalogued my observations. Outcome success on this assignment was considered 100% ability to master skill.
Next Steps Planned	I will provide a "guide" of a correctly prepared document each time I introduce a new concept in document layout, text, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
